best robot vacuum and mop (homesite) Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more adept, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on different types of floors. Find models that let you choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to self-empty and clean up stairs.

Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an application that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate making maps of floors and rooms.

When I tried the S1 It was quick to map our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, as well as carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a great job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be cleaned, although it will differ based on how much you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. To do this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank regularly to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. But, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other combinations that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an efficient solution to your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum with mop vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than simply drag a pad across a surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station as required.

This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a simple interface that guides you through the procedure. It also comes with a hand-vacuum which can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are two water tanks that are automatically filled or empty. It has a variety of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots that vacuum and mop struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are solid as well, though it does sometimes get hung up on the tiny area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual border within the app). The mopping feature is pretty excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub floors instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station when needed.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our top mop and robot vacuum that mops vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush will give you a thorough, customised clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and avoiding tangled pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping power is enhanced by a side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.

Its navigation is smart that can navigate tight spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than its competitors however, and tends to leave a large space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

The app features a simple and intuitive interface that will be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from any location. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. But, you'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it through the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

Robot vacuums are excellent at picking up dirt and debris but they aren't able to reach every bit of dust. It's important to vacuum often, at least once a week. This is especially true for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is made to do just that. It is easy to connect to your home WiFI network and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on cost by removing the mopping functionality and by using a cheaper plastic body.

Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 still has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen on a robot in this price range. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and best robot hoover an auto-empty system so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart application that lets you schedule cleanings and set the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.

Its mops also impress, with a 2700Pa power that can combat pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have trouble with high-pile carpets and area rug, but it was unable to pick up cat litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums cannot. The device also stores dust in a larger dustbin which means you need empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which can further cut costs. The robot vacuum cleaner best can also recognize carpets and increase suction if needed. The app allows you to mark areas you want to avoid and is a great feature.
