WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random extra substat is also added to every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item upgrading used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item upgrade owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which will display a preview of the item at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item level Upgrade and the current level of the item and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
