The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one motion. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well, but this is something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that serves as an charging base for the robot mop, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
