WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item level upgrade from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item level upgrade. For instance, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests used. Another significant change is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them properly.
