Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The statistics of an item are improved by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment gives an increase in linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle six items at a time to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be done through many different methods that include using upgrade components as well as upgrading an item's mark level or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to increase their stats.

Upgradable items can be found all over the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Upgrade components are the most common method of upgrading equipment. These are the items that can slot into equipment. Most equipment has upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain level of upgrade items. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others give an overall bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components that are available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. The universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be put on any equipment and offer lower bonuses than upgrades that are specific to equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and offer numerous bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to supplying additional crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, click it from your inventory and open the Upgrade window. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen, showing what the expected stats will be after the upgrade, and any required components or materials. If you don't have enough of either the upgrade button will be marked as Blocked.

The upper-right corner shows the number of upgrade components required for an item. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the level of the upgrade and its rarity, however it can be reduced through many different ways, such as purchasing upgrades from a retailer or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune or an insignia. Some can be upgraded with the suffix. These upgrades change the name of the item and add an adjective, for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable weapons, such as shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any kinds of mods at all.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to convey visual information. They move to catch the viewer's attention and spur interest in the brain. The animation of glyphs resembles the body language and makes them more effective in transmitting an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs can also increase the recall of a message by evoking an emotional connection in the brain.

Each glyph has a range of values that it can enhance a stat, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use it to enchant an Artifact. This is the highest value that a glyph could improve a stat by and not the amount it will actually increase it by. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier and the quality of the item you are enchanting.

The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a glyph or rune you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to the gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can remove a glyph by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will destroy the item in which it is installed however, you can salvage the upgraded item upgrader kit using the glyph and its shards, therefore it should not be considered a loss.

A glyph added to an item could cause it to be unstable, and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also add an inscription on your equipment to make it more valuable. For example the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and deal it slowly rather than all at one time. This is beneficial for players who take lots of damage from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to change the affixes on weapons and other equipment. They can be obtained from various sources, including mysterious boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Each reroll gives the player a random affix that is generally better than the one they had prior to. Reroll tokens can also be used to improve weapon stats for more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for item upgrades (company website), but they can still be upgraded. By pressing the "upgrade button" you can recycle these items that have been rerolled. This will alter the design of the item's window, and allow up to six items to be chosen to recycle. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its own level, so higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls will determine the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower, it remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.

Rerolls are a great option for upgrading an item, but players should be aware that it could reduce the overall ilvl the weapon due to the number of rerolls required in order to increase it to its final ilvl. This effect of lowering is most effective for ring items and Diadems that don't have competing ilvl-raising options.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's more fair to let people pay for it with cash or food items that allows players to make changes to their builds without having to invest excessive amounts of time. The developers have no plans to implement paid rerolls at this point in the game's development. They're planning to include the ability for players to change their race in the future.

Leveling

There are many ways to upgrade an item. The first is to increase the upgrade amount which boosts the value of an upgrade for a given stat. The second is to increase the effect of an upgrade which increases the damage or heal of a given stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. When this is done, the new item will retain its iLevel, but will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.

It is important to remember that upgrades are not guaranteed. Most of the time, a higher roll is based on the glyphs. However there are instances when a more or unique roll could occur. In addition the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the item type and if you upgrade a unique or rare item to an exceptional item type, it will have a chance to gain an iLevel that is higher.

Upgrading items can be costly, particularly when you're upgrading a piece of equipment from a standard to the legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item will depend on the iLevel it's built upon and the number of upgrade levels. Some upgrade tracks also require crests in order to get to the next level.

If you're lucky, your upgraded item will be at the highest level on its upgrade track, and will unlock an additional bonus effect. This will result in a significant increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level, though. In general, the effect of upgrading is increased by +3.

The iLevel also changes depending on the item's upgrade path and base level. For instance an Best item upgrade that has been upgraded from a rare or unique item to an exceptional one is likely to gain the enhanced defense of the new base item.
