Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts the stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item increases with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can boost the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways through the use of upgrade components or by increasing an item's rarity or mark level.
