World of Warcraft - item upgrade Upgrading

The upgrade option lets players increase the gear rating of an item by up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't change much after an upgrade, and aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally there are many weapons with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and level. For example an item upgrader kit with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of the base. While this is generally a good thing, it can have some negative effects as well. Upgrades can make things unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their effectiveness. In the case of a helm or chest, it will boost its defense base while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circling arrows in the menu for items. This will reroll an item and alter its stats, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.

Armor

Making a few improvements to your armor could make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which can make it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the more health you can receive from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a specific side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the fountain in question and then you can talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid environments with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you're able to survive a battle with friends.

You can't upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, provide the user with a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and rarity.

To upgrade items a potion, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potion you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a potion is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you use it again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the way potions are used. Splash potions for instance have now a duration of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item. The table for potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the potion and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions, which are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or decoration that serves a function but is not particularly important such as a tiny thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is a way to express affection or friendship between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It can be done by the player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the old trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets are not usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them a popular alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade items their most important items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondary items and finally, other pieces of gear that will not be replaced in the near future (for example, a ring or cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade players should be aware of the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value, and the new trinket will have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket, unless it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying new ones.
