The Lightest, Most Compact and Easiest to Fold Travel Strollers

This stroller is one of the lightest and compact. It's also the easiest folding strollers. Despite its size it has a good ride, fantastic sun canopy, and a multi-position recline.

With a price of less than $100 the stroller is an excellent value. It comes with a simple compact fold and carry strap, which makes it easy to carry over your shoulder or carry to public transport.

1. Lightweight

The most important thing to consider when choosing a travel stroller is that it must be light and easy to fold. The most popular models we tested can be folded with one hand, and sometimes two and fit in overhead luggage compartments. Finally, the Coya TRVL ($320) is another one-handed, one-step fold that comes with car seat compatibility and a far-reaching canopy. It's a bit pricier than the other models in this category however it has additional features, including a larger parent pocket and cupholder as well as an adjustable handlebar to accommodate parents of all heights and a comfy carry strap. The simplicity of the model does not mean it's as durable, as contrasted with other models in this category.

2. Easy to fold

The UPPAbaby Miniu for example, comes with a reversible chair and a storage compartment that is unstructured in the rear, and a locking latch that keeps it folded. It's slightly larger than the umbrellas from the brand but can be folded more compactly than G-Luxe or G-Link counterparts. It also has an adjustable shoulder strap.

3. Easy to store

The most effective travel strollers fold down to a small, easy-to-store size that you can easily fit into the trunk of your car, or into the overhead bin of an airplane. Some come with a strap can be used to carry the stroller on your shoulder so your hands don't get tired. They're also lighter than normal strollers. This makes them easier to lift or carry around for a quick stroll in the neighborhood or at the airport.

The Contours Itsy is completely assembled and all you have to do is snap in the bumper bar. It has a parent cup holder and back pocket, but no oversized basket, which could restrict your ability to carry necessities for a long trip.

If you are frequent travelers, we suggest you look into a more robust stroller that has better features and the ability to carry more cargo. The UPPAbaby Miniu, for instance, comes with many of the same features as its G-Luxe and G-Link siblings but is smaller and folds faster. It's also slightly sturdier than an umbrella stroller, and comes with a comfortable carrying strap to take some of the weight off your shoulders.

4. Confortable

Comfort is key when using strollers over long periods of time. Find seats with plenty of padding and a recline system that lets you set it at different angles. Take note of whether the canopy extends for sun protection and if mesh windows encourage airflow. Consider a model that has a parent facing pram organizer/cupholder and an ample basket under the seat if you need to carry your belongings. When you are looking for a travel Jogger for older children be sure to look at the age range. Also, consider whether your child is comfortable in the seat, even without a car seat for infants.

The way that a stroller moves is also crucial. It must be able to roll effortlessly over a variety of surfaces including smooth hardwoods, shag carpet to cobblestones and gravel. It must also be able to handle stairs and curbs without difficulty. If your travel plans include the majority of walking, opt for a stroller that is light to help you avoid back and leg soreness.
