The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other options, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic hoovers vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.

It's quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's easy to install and is effective however it's something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuum best, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
