If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best robot vacuum that mops navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger debris like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to set up and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a variety of features.

It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was fairly quiet and even had some nice jingles that signalled when it was about to start or finishing its work.

The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock that serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a clean sink, and an best automatic vacuum and mop 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to start cleaning or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic vacuum cleaner emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognising objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
