Press two of the buttons to turn off the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in an obstacle like a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad except for the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market which is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
