WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The Item Level Upgrade upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item upgrading that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.

Upgrades are useful items that are used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists.
