The S1 Pro's navigation and mapping capabilities are top-quality, with the internal dToF LiDAR system that allows it to keep an unobtrusive appearance while providing top-quality object avoidance. It is able to drive close to walls and avoid steps without falling. It also raises the mop when driving on rugs or short-pile carpets. However, it did struggle in the presence of carpets with a longer pile and also some long, thick messes of dried-on debris.

The S1 Pro is ready to go out of the box, and it just requires an easy mapping session to discover your home.
