The machine can serve espresso double espresso, gran lungo, alto and mug drinks with a fine layer of crema.

The X7.1 is not only an absolute standout in its brewing capabilities, but also for other features. For example, it is one of the only coffee machines that we have tested that offers a height-adjustable drip tray to optimise the dimensions and shape of the coffee mug. It also comes with a stainless-steel milk jug that can be used to make lattes or cappuccinos. The X7.1 features a sleep mode and a detachable holder for pods to make cleaning easier.

Compatible with all Keurig K-Cups, Nespresso capsules and Bruvi B-Pods. There's no steam wand nor milk carafe, however you can add toppings to your coffee with hot or cold milk however you'd like.

The model isn't as expensive as the Lavazza Voicy pod, but it's ideal for those who like espresso or ristretto or caffe longo. It's also one of the quietest machines available so you can sip your morning coffee while your children are asleep.

You can program the size of your cup to match your preference and there's an option to add an increase in temperature to push your brew through at the touch of one button. It's easy to keep on top of maintenance too with alerts that let you know when the capsule container needs emptying or if the water tank is low.

The machine isn't capable of frost, but you can make cappuccinos and flat whites with a separate milk container. There are a lot of positive reviews from buyers on Amazon and at John Lewis. They praise the machine's flexibility, quiet operation, and various lengths of drinks.

There aren't a lot of customer reviews but the general consensus is that it's a great pod coffee maker if you prefer an easy set-up. It's a little more pricey than the Nespresso Vertuo Pop, but it comes with excellent tasting Lavazza pods and is among the quietest machines on the market.
